Stonehenge - April 2005
We finally got around to seeing the Stonehenge. We decided to hire a car as buses ran out to Stonehenge only once a day with the exception of tour buses. Another problem was there really isn't much else in the area of Stonehenge. Bath is relatively close, but we had already been there. We also picked up Aliza, a university friend of Curtis who was studyiin in Cambridge.
So it was our first experience driving in Europe and on the other side of the road. There were quite a few weird signs and tonnes of roundabouts. There were even some intersections with double roundabouts. Luckily we had some practice back home in Edmonton. On our way back from Stonehenge we tried to visit Windsor Castle but were unable to find how to drive up to it despite seeing it and following directional signs. But the signs to the castle disappeared when we got close. Instead, we stopped by Legoland as you will see.
