Helsinki, Finland - May 2005

Helsinki's a very modern city and we were blessed with Jennie to guide us around the city taking us to all the best places including a good selection of clubs. It was unfortunate that we watched Canada lose the World Championships to the Czech Republic in a bar filled with a lot of Czechs. For the most part, there's not too much to see. There is the 1952 Olympic Stadium and a really cool park filled with a whole bunch of sculptures. There is also the old fortress island Suomenllina which was really cool. The people that I met here were incredibly friendly however and definitely a cool place to visit. It would have been nice though if were able to stay here a bit longer. We also didn't have the funds to tour the rest of Finland. But I guess there is always next time.
