Damascus, Syria - November 2005

The lively and bustling city of Damascus, the capital of Syria. We spent a lot of time shopping here. There was also a chance to visit a village that still speaks Aramaic, the language spoken at the time of Jesus but I opted out.

I think I got the stomach bug here from the food at the whirling dervish event. It sadly lasted basically the whole trip through Jordan.
