Dead Sea, Jordan - November 2005

We ended up staying most of the afternoon in a heavily guarded resort area at the Dead Sea where you could probably float over to Israel. The bottom was either really soft mud or really sharp salt rocks. I think almost everyone got cut. Normal sea water is around 3-4% salt where as the Dead Sea which is also the lowest point on land is above 30% salt.

Comments:
Make sure you don't shave before you go into the Dead Sea as the salt water will burn. If you have some fly spray bring it as I've never been to a more fly infested place.
