Cairo, Egypt - November 2005

We finally made to the Pyramids of Giza which is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still left standing. It was pretty unreal to finally make it to the pyramids. We also visited the Egyptian Museum which didn't allow any photos but they had a spectacular collection of items from King Tutankhamun's (Tut) Tomb including his god-like golden mask.

This was also the end of the road for Joe and Rhona who we did miss a lot and Anthony and Nicola upgraded to a more luxurious tour so we parted ways with them too. We did have five new young Mexicans join us: Andrew, Neil, Jorge, Ignacio and Alejandro.

Comments:
They have the first KFC operated by all deaf people. You just point at what you want. I think it's a great idea. It's suprising to find the first one in Egypt but good for them! On another note, I found Cairo to be one of the most polluted cities I've been to with super heavy smog.
