FNDC 9 - March 2007
I'd like to thank everyone who came out to the FNDC events around St. Patrick's Day and El Presidente's Birthday. Thank you as well for the many fine gifts and green beaded necklace shot glasses I received. They shall be considered a national treasure for all to enjoy... at my discretion.
Because of this display of generosity, and pressure from the UN:BDC (United Nations: Bureau of Drinking Clubs) , I have decided to grant more civil liberties in the FNDC and immediately call our first general election! (The timing of this election in no way coincides with the impending release of incriminating photographs of certain FNDC executives that may or may not have been taken at the last FNDC meeting.)
You will find your ballot and guidelines for voting below. I would like to thank the former Iraqi Chief Electoral Officer for his help in writing the ballot.
In the sprit of elections this Friday, March 30, 2007 will be the candidate's open forum where the candidates will make their platform speech and be available to answer questions from the general public. The evening will be concluded with the casting of ballots. The counting of the ballots will occur at a later date and performed by, and under, the watchful eye of your beloved El Presidente. The results of the election will be announced before our next meeting on Friday, April 13, 2007. Acceptance speeches and inauguration will also be held on that day.
So come out this Friday and hear what your representatives have to say.
El Presidentially Yours,
-El Presidente.
